GAME: Kick me
TYPE:
Foundational movements
CYCLE: I ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low
MATERIAL: in a gym, tennis balls, soccer balls, soft balls, beach balls,
(Any balls that can be kicked)
TACTICS: initiation to kicking
DESCRIPTION:
Layer 1:
- If possible, each player will have their own ball to kick
- Balls will be installed in front a wall
- On “GO” kids will have kick their ball towards the wall
- When everyone has kicked their ball, they will have to shag it
- The goal is initiate kids to kick different types of balls
- they will switch balls amongst them and will try every type of ball at least once
MODIFICATIONS:
- Play with stations (each wall is a station, each wall has their own type of ball and kids chose which type of ball they want to kick)
SAFETY
- Install the balls far enough from the walls so no one is injured
- Make sure the balls will not rebound on other players (put enough space between balls)
