GAME:   Skeleton puzzle                                  TYPE: Cooperative team building

CYCLE:   I to III                                                      ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium

MATERIAL: 1 skeleton in pieces per team, blindfolds

 

TACTICS:     Use appropriate communication

                        Strategically working as a team

                        Find all pieces of the puzzle as fast as possible

DESCRIPTION:

Layer 1:

-          Students are separated in teams depending how many skeletons are available

-          Each team has a base

-          Students will have to go one at a time in the middle of the gym to find their pieces of the skeleton

-          It’s a race against the other teams

Layer 2:

-          One student at a time will wear a blindfold and a second one will guide him to get the part they need

Layer 3:

The whole team will guide the student searching for the part but they can’t follow him

They have to yell at him from their base

MODIFICATIONS:

-          The teacher could give a certain order to respect on which part has to be obtained first

-          The teacher could give an introduction class on body parts

-          Can be played during October for Halloween or any other holidays (Christmas with a Santa, etc)

-          Students have cross certain obstacles before getting to the middle of the class

SAFETY

-          The teacher has to make sure the students stay polite and nice with each other while they yell to give information (this is just a game)
