GAME: What time is it Mister Wolf? TYPE: pursuit

CYCLE: I ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium
MATERIAL: small cones
TACTICS: Adopting a tactical position considering opponents’ and own speed
React fast enough to avoid getting touched
React fast enough to touch the opposite player
Move on offense as team with proper communication
DESCRIPTION:
Layer 1:
- Students will stand on a designed line and on Go, will walk towards the opposite wall
- They will have to say (a l’unisson) “What time is it Mister Wolf?”
- When the teacher answers “time to eat” everyone has to run back to their base
Layer 2:
- Some students will be Wolves and try to catch others only when it’s time to eat
- When touched a student becomes a wolf
MODIFICATIONS:
- Class is separated in 5 teams, each team has 3 runs
- It’s a championship!!! The team who has the most points wins
SAFETY
- Make sure kids use proper tagging (no slaps allowed)
- Players have to be aware of dangerous contacts (heads up and look where they go)
- Students have to cooperate with their teammates (communication to know when it is time to eat
- Put the end line far enough from any wall
